In letter to U.S. voters, Tehran's tyrants confirm they read polls

In letter to U.S. voters, Tehran's tyrants confirm they read polls

Proving they can read election polls, too, Iran’s regime is pleading with the American public to vote against President Donald Trump and the Republican Party in the midterm elections.

In a lengthy letter appealing to U.S. voters, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps asks for a “peaceful coexistence” with the United States, and it urges voters to tell election officials they oppose the ongoing war with Iran.

A copy of the letter, signed by IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebbi, was obtained by The Times of Israel last week.

In related comments to The Associated Press, Mohebbi urged Americans to protest Trump’s attack on Iran and to rethink their decisions on who they vote to put into public office.

The well-timed letter dropped as the midterm elections are now under 30 days away, with control of the U.S. House predicted to flip to the Democrats according to some pollsters.

The letter was also released at the same time the Pentagon announced it was sending a third aircraft carrier strike group, and 10,000 additional sailors and Marines, to the Middle East.

Those additional troops suggest Trump might increase U.S. military attacks against Iran after the midterms, especially after the U.S. president has said that scenario is “possible” when pressed by the news media.

Trump launched a major military offensive against Iran in February, “Operation Epic Fury,” that pummeled Iran’s military and political targets for 26 days straight. That military attack decimated Iran’s top political and military leaders, but it did not topple the regime and its IRGC leadership.

With the tyrannical regime still in place, President Trump has warned the IRGC must be toppled to keep it from obtaining a nuclear weapon and using it to kill Americans. That warning is competing with a huge jump in gas prices in the U.S., however, and with Trump’s own “America First” campaign promise.

President Trump’s current job approval rating is far into the negatives, currently sitting at a 63% disapproval rating. During the current year, his most favorable numbers were back in February, at 54% approval, when “Epic Fury” kicked off.

Gary Bauer, the veteran conservative activist, told American Family News he believes the IRGC letter is a political gift to the Republican Party.

Bauer, Gary Bauer

"I think every Republican running for the House and Senate, state legislature, governor, dogcatcher, whatever it is,” Bauer said, “should be asking the public: Why did one of the worst terrorist groups in Iran want my opponent's party to prevail this November?”

In a previous AFN story, Blaze TV host Steve Deace said Republicans are in political trouble because Americans are unhappy with the war in Iran and frustrated with higher prices.

He also said a Democrat majority in Congress poses a bigger immediate threat to our freedoms than Iran.
