Considering the fact that this year's Olympic Games include at least 142 athletes who are publicly part of the LGBTQ community, which is more than have participated at all other Summer Games combined, Axios conducted a poll and revealed that only 39% of Americans overall believe trans athletes ought to be permitted to compete in opposite-gender sports.
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality notes that according to the study, only 35% of Democrats believe they should be permitted.
"The Democratic Party is beholden to these left-wing homosexual and transgender activists," he continues. "They've got a lock grip on the Democratic Party, and they're starting to grow in their influence on the Republican Party. But the Democrats have sold out to this radical fringe group, and this is a really bad political move."
He says one huge problem is that Democrat elected officials focus on and believe in the mainstream media, which has been wedded to the LGBTQ movement for decades.
"If the Democrats were smart, they'd actually try talking to real Americans who don't think it's fair that some big, strong dude who was born a male gets to compete in women's weightlifting," LaBarbera submits. "Most Americans think that's nuts, and I suspect even more Americans than this poll admits think that's nuts."
LaBarbera says many Democrats think men should not be participating in women's sports and that regardless of what a man does to his body, he is still a man.
Axios, the organization that conducted the poll, operates on the belief that the fast-changing world needs smarter, more efficient coverage of the topics shaping it, and it focuses on a big problem faced by all consumers: The erosion of truth, trust, safety, and sanity in news.
