Claiming inside scoop, pastors describe warning about UFOs, aliens

A controversial claim by some pastors has gone viral on social media, kicking off a spiritual discussion about aliens and UFOs.

A social media post with more than a million views went viral over the claim by several pastors that they were invited to a meeting where some government officials told them to go prepare their congregations with some "things they're not ready for" regarding UFOs.

The Christian Post reports that Pastor Larry Ragland of Solid Rock Church in Birmingham, Alabama, is one such pastor who attended the meeting, and he recently apologized for his misleading words.

“They are preparing to tell us that they are from another dimension: that they are our creator and that these beings — these aliens or whatever you want to call them — they were the ones that seeded us here, there is no such thing as God, Jesus was invented by them, the Bible was invented by them,” said Ragland in a video posted on X.

He clarifies that this is his opinion of how the narrative regarding the soon-to-be-released information will be spun. His original phrasing made it appear as if a Missouri congressman, revealed to be Eric Burlison (R), said those words.

Burlison denied the claims on social media, saying he doesn’t know about “strange objects in the skies” and that he was not present at the meeting, only called in. He said that he advised if anything is disclosed, then Christians should look to the Scriptures. Ragland confirmed that Burlison was only called in to encourage and thank the pastors.

Before the claims of a secret government meeting, Trump was asked days before if he had an update on what the reporter referred to as "the UFO files.” He answered that they will be releasing as much as they can in the near future.

“We're going to be releasing a lot of things that we have. I think some of it's going to be very interesting. I interviewed some pilots, very solid people, and they said they saw things that you wouldn't believe,” Trump said.

Daily Mail reported that Pastor Perry Stone, well-known evangelist and author, said he also attended the meeting. He claims that that the officials said the information released will cause some to turn from the Christian faith while non-Christian will turn to the church for answers.

McFarland, Alex (Christian apologist) McFarland

Alex McFarland of “Exploring the Word” on AFR says deep fake videos, a relentless social media ecosystem and charlatans of all kinds may make it seem hard not to believe what they're saying about UFOs and aliens in general.

“Well, the Bible tells us in 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12 that in the last days, there will be a strong delusion that would lead people to believe a lie,” McFarland says.

He acknowledges that some things have come to light that seem impossible to explain.

“I do think that there are phenomena that occur that can only be explained in spiritual terms, and I believe what are commonly called aliens are actually demons, demonic activity,” McFarland states.
