Ark. tops pro-life ranking again

Arkansas has been named the most pro-life state in America, once again, by a pro-life organization.

The ranking comes from Americans United for Life, which has now lauded Arkansas for a sixth year in a row.

Reacting to the recognition at a press conference, Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders thanked the pro-life activists “who have fought for this day for decades." She also promised she will continue as governor "to fight to protect the most vulnerable among us."

Jerry Cox, president of Arkansas Family Council, credited pro-life state legislators and said Arkansans should be proud of them for their work.

"That's something to celebrate," said Cox at the press conference.

Other pro-life states in AUL's ranking include Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Indiana.

Rose Mimms, executive director at Arkansas Right to Life, told AFN she is proud of the state’s recognition, too, but there is still work to be done against what she calls the “forces of death,” referring to abortion supporters.

"There's the dangers of the abortion pill,” she advises. “We want to make sure that women who are still getting that pill illegally in our state, to end the lives of their unborn babies, that they need to know these are dangerous drugs.”

Because of the abortion pill’s popularity, Mimms and Arkansas Right to Life are trying to spread word about the abortion pill reversal medication.
