Voters in numerous states will see more radical abortion policies on the ballot in November, including voters in The Show Me State.

Susan Klein, of Missouri Right to Life PAC, tells AFN her state is among those being targeted to enshrine abortion in the state constitution. Like other states, she says, the pro-abortion side succeeded in getting enough signatures to put it on the ballot.

“So we are in a campaign to vote ‘no’ on Amendment 3,” she says, referring to the ballot measure.

The pro-abortion push for constitutional amendments comes after that side witnessed its revered Roe v Wade get overturned two years ago by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Angered by the ruling, abortion supporters have set their sights on changing pro-life laws in numerous red states, such as Ohio. An abortion amendment there, called Issue 1, was approved by voters in 2023 after pro-lifers got outspent 3-to-1 by their opponents.

Abortion supporters in Ohio held a “watch party” on election night, and cried and celebrated, when Issue 1 passed, according to a story by the Ohio Capital Journal.

In November, similar abortion referendums will be on the ballot in Florida, Colorado, Maryland, Nevada, and South Dakota.

Klein calls the Missouri amendment “extreme” because, if approved, it would “override” the state’s constitution that protects life in the womb.

“It's abortion [through] all nine months of pregnancy,” she warns. “It takes away the rights of parents to protect their minors from an abortionist that would do an abortion on them without the parents' notification. It takes away the right of a woman to sue if she is harmed by abortion."
