More than 50 Democrats in the U.S. House recently sent a letter to Walmart, Kroger, Costco, Safeway, and Health Mart complaining that they have not agreed to sell abortion pills. The lawmakers call their caution "unacceptable."
"Your pharmacies have been able to start the certification process since January but have not done so, despite letters from numerous governors and senators inquiring about your failure to do so," the letter reads. "Your companies have a responsibility to consumers and communities to address this issue as soon as possible."
But according to Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, the House Democrats are being unreasonable.
"What about the concerns or what about what's acceptable and unacceptable to the people who run these pharmacies," he poses. "There's a lot of good, strong, believing, pro-life people, Christian people, people with morals that realize the truth that the Democrats continue to insist on denying, which is that these drugs are killing a human life."
He thinks those Democrats are revealing their tyrannical nature.
"Just like they don't respect the consciences of nurses and doctors and medical students that don't want to be involved in abortion, now they're just continuing that disrespect for the consciences of pharmacy owners, employees, and even the heads of these pharmaceutical companies if they have concerns," Pavone observes.
In the short, he says it does not matter to the Democrats that some people do not want their skills or their businesses used to end human lives.
