After spending much of his first term pushing abortion on the nation, Biden made his expected announcement this week to run for another term as president.
National Right to Life Committee spokeswoman Laura Echevarria tells AFN if he wins in 2024, then he will be a lame duck president, which means he will be more dangerous than ever. Her organization is sure that his promise to "finish the job" refers in part to killing more unborn children.
"It will give him permission, in his mind, to do the most extreme versions of whatever they can push through," she warns. "And they've already tried to push through so many extreme pieces of legislation."
Since the Supreme Court sent the responsibility for abortion laws back to the states, Biden is pressing for passage of the Women's Health Protection Act.
"This piece of legislation is misnamed," Echevarria asserts. "It should be called the Abortion Without Limits Act, and that piece of legislation would go beyond anything that Roe ever allowed."
Biden also wants to do away with the Hyde Amendment, a legislative provision barring the use of federal funds to pay for abortion, except to save the life of the woman or if the pregnancy arises from incest or rape.
"The Veterans Administration just released its new rule that violates federal law that abortions will be provided by the Veterans Administration through VA hospitals," the pro-lifer continues. "That will be supplemented with taxpayer dollars."
Considering his Presidential Record on Life, Echevarria fully expects Biden will double down on the abortion issue if he is granted four more years in office.
