Mark Lee Dickson, founder of Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn, says the movement to ban abortion clinics from cities is growing. Next month, for instance, six Nebraska cities and villages will be voting on ordinances that will both ban the practice and prevent abortion businesses from taking another avenue into their towns.
"What we're fighting is not just brick and mortar abortion facilities, but we're fighting things like Plan C, the abortion pill by mail," Dickson details. "Under this current administration, they're doing everything they can to weaponize our mailboxes to make our mailboxes little abortion facilities."
In Texas, four cities will be voting on similar measures, and in New Mexico, the citizens of Hobbs, Lovington, and Clovis are pushing their city councils for the same proposals. Dickson was recently encouraged by 25 pastors in Clovis who got together on short notice to pray for an abortion ban in their city.
"How encouraging is that that the Church is mobilized, that the Church is not asleep, that the Church is rising up and saying that they're going to do everything they can to defend life in their community," he exclaims.
And as the federal government under President Biden wants abortion for any reason through all nine months of pregnancy in every ZIP code in the nation, Dickson urges other towns to follow the lead of those mentioned.
