Hilton makes the runoff in state where Dems dominate and count the ballots

Hilton makes the runoff in state where Dems dominate and count the ballots

Hilton makes the runoff in state where Dems dominate and count the ballots

If election fraud can be identified and stopped, a longtime, Los Angeles-based conservative says Republican candidate Steve Hilton has a good chance of becoming California’s next governor.

In the controversial jungle primary, held June 2, the British-born Hilton advanced in the gubernatorial race to appear on the November ballot. Hilton finished second, behind Democrat Xavier Becerra, on a ballot with more than 60 candidates listed.

Becerra, a former congressman, finished with 28.1 percent. Hilton finished with 24.7 percent, or about 360,900 votes behind Becerra, according to unofficial election results from the California Secretary of State’s Office.

California’s current term-limited governor is Gavin Newsom, a possible 2028 presidential candidate, who has overseen a loss of 4 million Californians during his two terms who fled the beautiful state over crime, high taxes, and a high cost of living.

Peterson, Jesse Lee (B.O.N.D.) Peterson

Jesse Lee Peterson, founder and president of Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny (BOND), told American Family News he was pleased Hilton advanced to the General Election and feels good about his chances even in Democrat-dominated California.

“I've always had a wait-and-see attitude about everything, but I believe he might win,” Peterson said.

There is suspicion among Republicans voter fraud is rampant in California, where illegal aliens can get a ballot mailed to them and where totaling those mail-in ballots takes weeks.

According to the Secretary of State's website, the June 2 primary results remain unofficial from county precincts even though the primary was held two weeks ago today.

Bill Essayli, an assistant U.S. attorney working in California, has announced "multiple" election fraud investigations are under way after the June 2 primary. Another assistant U.S. attorney visited a Los Angeles ballot processing center days after the primary, Politico reported.

Hilton was polling well before the June 2 election along with a second well-known Republican candidate, Sheriff Chad Bianco. An AFN story, published in February, showed Hilton leading one poll and Bianco leading another, with Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell close behind them and leading other Dems.

Then came April, two months from the primary. That was when Swalwell’s gubernatorial campaign was hit with well-timed sexual assault allegations that forced him to drop out of the crowded race and also resign from Congress.

Katie Porter, the former congresswoman and fellow Democrat candidate, was suspected by some of orchestrating the Swalwell accusations to help her own candidacy. Despite her name recognition, Porter finished the primary with only 4.4 percent.

Hilton’s second-place finish barely edged out billionaire Democrat Tom Steyer, who has 22.8 percent, while Bianco finished at 10.2 percent.
