MAGA conservatives need to stand against the dangerous far-right

MAGA conservatives are reacting to a growing segment of its fringe right that is blatantly racist, misogynist, and antisemitic, and they're pushing back against the evil.

There's still a buzz in the MAGAverse over Tucker Carlson's softball interview of influencer Nick Fuentes (featured bottom right), where he ignored his repellent views. As previously reported by AFN, Nick Fuentes is a Holocaust denier who could not answer whether or not Hitler was a bad guy. During Carson’s interview with Fuentes, Carson said that Christian Zionism was church heresy.

Meanwhile, in the last few weeks, former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy was the target of racist social media comments after posting a picture of him and his kids preparing for trick-or-treating last month.

Conservative filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza was a guest on the Jenna Ellis in the Morning show on AFR, and says MAGA has to police the “big tent.”

“I can't think of a stupider political strategy. I mean, does the Republican Party want to drive away socially conservative blacks and Latinos and Indian Americans and other immigrants who are assimilating to America and assimilating to American conservatism?” asks D'Souza.

He says it's creating an identity crisis on the Right.

“The real issue is, what do we stand for? What does MAGA stand for? What does the Republican Party stand for? And we're just getting a whole bunch of weirdness coming out,” states D'Souza.

D'Souza says the divisive faction is being led by Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, two former highly respected MAGA thought leaders.

“With Tucker, he actually is making a bid to try to steer MAGA and steer the GOP in a new direction. And I think, again, that needs to be resisted,” says D'Souza

He is happy to say that it is being resisted.

“It is encouraging that over the last 30 days, there has been a pretty unified wall of resistance against these bigoted antisemite Groypers,” says D'Souza. “You couldn't name a prominent public defender of Tucker right now. This is the difference between us and the left.”
