White House ballroom construction gives Left another chance to cry about Trump

President Donald Trump is adding a 90,000-square foot ballroom onto the East Wing of the White House, and the Left is losing its ever-loving mind.

The new White House ballroom is expected to seat about a thousand people and will be decorated with ornate gold chandeliers and big arching windows.

They had to tear down part of the East Wing to begin construction, and the liberal media is acting like Trump just put the Declaration of Independence into a paper shredder. Sunny Hostin on The View predictably panned the project.

“And it's going to be tacky and gaudy, you know that. This tacky, gaudy, nasty ballroom.”

Nick Fondacaro of Media Research Center says, looking at the renderings, the ballroom will go nicely with the rest of the White House and be a beautiful room for state dinners.

“It's just sort of classic white, sort of like the rest of the building with gold accents. And it looks kind of just like a fancy ballroom that you might find at any sort of European state dinner.”

He says the media started complaining about the cost to taxpayers. That fell apart quickly.

“It's privately funded. No taxpayer money is going to it. So, they really can't argue that it's a waste of taxpayer funding. So now it's the optics.”

Fondacaro says online conspiracy theorists on the far Left are trying to link the funding to Russia.

“That is the weirdest James Bond plot I have ever heard. Like the Soviets and the Russians implanting a Manchurian candidate to one day build a ballroom off the East Wing.”
