A section of North Toronto has now been designated as "Little Iran," which is described as a vibrant hub where Iranian culture, art, and spirit have enriched the city for years.
Far-left Toronto mayor, Oliva Chow, was on hand for the official declaration, reports Jihad Watch. While the Toronto mayor enthusiastically celebrated "Little Iran" last year, she refused to attend a raising of the Israeli flag at city hall, marking Israel's national day calling it divisive due to the conflict in Gaza.
According to the article, the only people who are celebrating “Little Iran” are Iranian patriots who support Canada and Islamic supremacist.
Robert Spencer is director of Jihad Watch.
"The Muslim vote drives all this, and Canada has so many Muslims now and so many people — I believe that it's a staggering percentage of people in the country who are new arrivals and who've just gotten there the last 10 years,” says Spencer. “And the politicians are falling all over each other, pandering to these people and trying to get their votes, and none of them know about or care about the jihad imperative or think that it's going to happen."
Dr. Charles McVety, president of Toronto-based Canada Christian College, says that it's not what one might think.
"You have an area of the city called Chinatown, where the Chinese restaurants are, and Little Italy, where the Italian restaurants are, and the Greek town. There's an area that has a lot of Iranian restaurants, but I know a lot of these people. They march in support of Israel. They're people that have fled the regime, and I really don't see it as a problem," says McVety.
