A Pro-Palestinian mob attacked police in several areas of Boston, setting fire to a police cruiser during a recent street takeover involving over 100 people.
The head of the police union told the Fox News Channel that those participating in the street takeover were focused on attacking officers. Two of the rioters were arrested -- Julian Bowers, 18, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, and William Cantwell, 19, from Warwick, Rhode Island. They were charged with assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property over $1,200.
"They knew what they were going to do and they were hell-bent on attacking police officers. But that is not an everyday occurrence," Larry Calderone told Fox News.
Brian Camenker is president of MassResistance. He thinks the mob went too far.
"I think they made a big mistake by attacking the cops because even the leftist politicians now are turning against them and a lot of them have been arrested and their pictures are in the paper. I think they sort of went too far by attacking cops the way they did. That didn't go over well at all. These kids are really, really crazy and evil. These were mostly Emerson College students, which is the sort of music school in downtown Boston. They're these wacked kids."
Camenker says the problem is one of our "allies" in the Middle East is funding all of these college protests around the country.
Camenker thinks that these individuals will be held accountable.
“Qatar puts billions of dollars into American colleges to fund this kind of stuff. It doesn't just happen by itself. And there's some concern that maybe they're not the people that we should be cozying up to as an ally since they're funding all these riots."
