Mehlman: Adams can address illegal immigration with call to White House

An immigration enforcement organization says a busing lawsuit filed by New York City’s mayor is nothing more than a wasteful publicity stunt that deflects from the problem.

In a city overrun with illegal aliens, Mayor Eric Adams announced the lawsuit against more than a dozen charter bus and transportation companies that have been transporting illegal aliens from the southern border to The Big Apple.

Adams is seeking more than $700 million in damages claiming the companies have violated state law by not paying for the cost of caring for the illegals.

Ira Mehlman, speaking for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, says Adams is engaging in a  publicity stunt to deflect attention and blame.

“[Adams], for some reason, continues to claim everybody except the proper source of this problem, which is the Biden administration," Mehlman says. "He's still complaining about Governor [Greg] Abbott. Now he's going after the bus companies.”

Until the New York mayor forces the Biden administration to close the southern border, Mehlman adds, the Texas governor will keep sending illegals to the self-proclaimed sanctuary of New York City.
