With elections just around the corner, Citizens' Council for Health Freedom (CCHF) has released a short video (view below) to outline five key issues citizens can use as a litmus test to better know which candidates, if elected, would be more likely to defend health freedom and protect patient privacy.
"These last few weeks is where every candidate is keen to get every vote that they can get, and so they are happy to answer your questions," notes Twila Brase, RN and president/co-founder of CCHF. "This is the time to really pin them down for what they're going to do with health freedom or not and how they're going to protect privacy, physician autonomy, and patient rights."
The five key issues are:
- The role of government in healthcare
- Restoring access to personalized care
- Access to affordable health insurance
- Protecting medical privacy
- Digital tracking and control
Brase encourages voters to "let them know that you care about this, and see if they actually even have answers that align with your views."
She points out that health policy affects every person, so "you need to know what their answers are.
