Early voting is underway nationwide, Christians still urged to cast their ballots

With the midterm elections less than a week away, conservative groups are making a final push to turn out Christian voters and educate them on high-stakes ballot initiatives nationwide.

Election Day for the midterms is on Tuesday, November 3. Early voting is underway in many states.

NBC News is tracking the early vote, reportedly showing 47% of registered Democratic voters have shown up nationally compared to 35% of registered Republicans. Over 39 million mail-in and early in-person votes have already been cast.

Hefner, Heather Hefner

Appearing on American Family Radio (AFR)'s "Today's Issues" program, Dr. Heather Hefner, director of communications for AFA Action, urged believers not to sit on the sidelines.

"So come Wednesday, we can't complain that our team didn't win if we don't show up. We have to show up. We have to be there. We have to go vote," Hefner says.

Hefner emphasized that voters aren't just choosing candidates — they're deciding key cultural and policy issues directly on their ballots.

"There's 58 ballot measures on Tuesday across the country, across 24 states... And they're going to be on topics like life, voter ID, election integrity, taxes, men in women's sports, protecting girls' sports, protecting children from gender mutilation surgery," Hefner states.

Because ballot measure wording can often be dense or misleading, AFA Action has created state-by-state guides and sample ballots to help voters navigate down-ballot choices. It also shows which measures AFA Action is for or against.

For example, AFA Action is very much against California's Proposition 3, which will extend the tax on high incomes, but agrees with the liberal state's Proposition 39 regarding voter ID and citizenship verification.

"We did the homework for you," Hefner says.

The state-by-state guide can be found at the top of afaaction.net and under ivoterguide.com's Insights and Articles.
