On Monday, Palestinian terrorists opened fire at a busy bus stop, killing six and wounding another 14 before they were taken down. It was the deadliest attack since the mass shooting in October 2024, when two Palestinians from the West Bank opened fire inside a light rail train in Tel Aviv, killing seven people and leaving many others wounded.
Were it not for the heroic action of an Israeli soldier and an armed civilian, the carnage could have been worse.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the scene (pictured above) some two hours after the shooting. He warned that Israel is "fighting a war on multiple fronts," including Gaza, the West Bank, and Israel.
"The American media and, of course, the Israel haters and the antisemites that are sadly here in the United States, they ignore all that," says Gary Bauer of the Campaign for Working Families. "They don't want Americans today to have any knowledge of what Israel has been dealing with all the way back to 1947, when they were restored as a modern nation."
The attack, which came just two weeks after a sermon on Palestinian TV urged viewers to "kill them all, kill them one by one" in the name of Allah, was praised by Hamas, which called the attackers "resistance fighters."
Bauer says this is what Israel endures "day after day, week after week, year after year."
"It shows you that the idea that there could be a lasting peace while Hamas continues to exist is a false hope, a false dream, and does not coincide with reality," he submits.
The attack happened as Israel is in the midst of a new offensive in Gaza City and has unveiled plans for expansion in Judea and Samaria.
