Recently, New York Post reported that U.S Jews are increasingly concealing their identities over rising antisemitism. A survey revealed that 57% of Jews experienced antisemitism within the past year, supposedly leading to 38% of Jews hiding Jewish identifying items, 32% not posting Jewish-related content and 23% skipping Jewish-related events.
This rise in antisemitism is often attributed to several things, but one "red-green" alliance that has been running rampant across America causing these incidents of anti-Israeli rhetoric is a driving force behind the topic.
This alliance between the Left and Islamist groups is often used to spread opposition to the Jewish people and criticize Western policy and way of life.
William Jacobson, a professor at Cornell Law School, was on Fox News last October to warn that antisemitism continued to be a problem on college campuses. He recently went back on Fox News to talk about how the events of the last several months proved that not only was he right back then, but how this became such a big issue.
“What people need to understand is that this is not really about Israel and Jews, this is about the United States. This is an attempt to destroy our country from the inside,” Jacobson states.
He noted that, due to the current political climate, security is present at nearly every Jewish event. He also spoke on how local government is failing to protect the Jewish people and how, sometimes, the government can be "openly hostile towards it."
Jacobson gave a warning to the Democratic Party because, even though Isreal was allowed to re-form as a country under Democratic President Harry Truman, they seem to have more problems with antisemitism inside their party.
“If it becomes the anti-Israel, anti-Jewish party, it will be the destruction of the Democratic Party because the American people don't want that,” Jacobson says.
