Adam Mangana, CEO of Optima, told The National Desk that virtual reality is similar to the well-known children’s program “The Magic School Bus” and schoolteacher Ms. Frizzle.
“This is a powerful tool, and every teacher becomes Miss Frizzle,” he said.
With polls showing a younger generation is less patriotic, Mangana wants to educate them with a first-person experience. Students can step inside Independence Hall and even interact with a virtual Benjamin Franklin.
“As much propaganda is out there, kind of a negative experience around the founding of our country, if you go back, it's a miraculous human accomplishment,” he said.
Unlike traditional online schools, such as Zoom or another type of conference calls, Optima insists student engagement is a top priority.
