Accuracy in Media has released secretly recorded video of Dr. Susan Harper, director of Iowa State University's LGBT department, saying diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives continue.
"We are finding the loopholes in the laws, but I'm careful about saying that," said Harper. "We are finding ways to be in compliance with the law and still do the work that needs to be done."
Adam Guillette, president of Accuracy in Media, says radicals clearly think they are above the law.
"You could ban whatever you'd like, and it means nothing to them because they are on an evangelical mission to advance their radical ideas," he submits. "They simply change the job titles and keep doing the exact same work."
In short, these "toothless" DEI bans are proving to be less than useful.
"They're actually worse than worthless because they accomplish nothing but provide a false sense of security," Guillette summarizes. "What … every state needs is a law like what they have in Kansas, where there's a reporting mechanism for lawbreakers and actual penalties for those caught breaking the law."
He says "multiple people" – the "loophole" finders at Iowa State and the University of West Alabama, the "covert" workers who "finesse" the language at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and the rebranded "Access and Engagement" department at the University of Tennessee – should be held accountable.
"It's clearly a broken system," Guillette states. "We need change at the top, which means new leadership for these universities, and we need to get rid of these activist administrator positions immediately."
DEI's underground operation, he says, is not about inclusion; it is defiance.
