Exposed for its antisemitism, Harvard extends olive branch to Israeli university

Under pressure for supporting antisemitism on its Ivy League campus, Harvard University has announced a new partnership with an Israeli university in an attempt to mend its ways.

Campus Reform, the education watchdog, reports Harvard students will be eligible to study for credit at Ben-Gurion University beginning in the spring semester of 2026.

A lawsuit settlement in January included a commitment to increase university partnerships with Israel and to drop a research partnership with Bizreit University, a Palestinian campus located in the West Bank.

The Campus Reform story states Harvard has not officially confirmed the new partnership with Ben-Gurion is an attempt to appease critics.

Fischer, Marie (Project 21) Fischer

Marie Fischer, of Harut North America, tells AFN she can see how Israeli students stand to benefit but also questions if Harvard is really committed.

“Are they saying, look, we've got Israeli studies, and we're partnering with an Israeli college, but in reality they're still antisemitic?” Fischer asks.

Harvard and the Trump administration have been locked in a legal battle going back months over billions of dollars in federal funds.
