In her "Queer Bible" course, Professor Rhiannon Graybill, a Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies Advisory Board member at the university, is reportedly seeking to "bring together queer theory, sexuality, and the Bible in order to explore what it means to 'queer' the Bible and biblical interpretations."
According to Dr. Graybill's bio, which lists her pronouns, she researches and teaches about the Hebrew Bible and is "especially interested in feminist and queer approaches to biblical interpretation."

"Especially academic organizations … that once knew the moral and spiritual foundation of our country, it's unfortunate that they would fall over to legitimize the LGBTQ/trans worldview when it's false," responds apologist Alex McFarland. "No one is born gay. No one is born transgender. Homosexual ideation, gender dysphoria – these things are a response to dealing with pain."
He notes that psychologists attribute people's same sex attraction and gender confusion to trauma, abuse, and molestation.
So instead of trying to use the Bible to support false teachings and encourage people to pursue behavior that God's Word rebukes, McFarland makes note of what Scripture actually says.
"God is the great healer. God gives not only eternal life, but abundant life," he says.
He encourages anyone pursuing truth and morality instead of culturally popular ideology to avoid the University of Richmond and any other college with courses and events with similar themes.
