Proof of contradiction: Illinois leaders balk at Trump orders, not Obama’s

Not surprisingly, the leftist managers of the Illinois public schools are determined to defy President Trump's executive order to rid public schools of radical ideological programs.

Governor J.B. Pritzker and State Board of Education Superintendent Tony Sanders argue the president's executive order is not legally binding.

Laurie Higgins of Breakthrough Ideas notes that's not how they felt about President Barack Obama's (shown at top) "Dear Colleague" letter in 2011.

"That's not the way the leftist educators in Illinois talked about it when Obama sent out his radical 'Dear Colleague' letters. They were acting as if it was legally binding, but suddenly they're emphasizing now these executive orders are not."

The Obama administration issued guidance which aimed to address campus sexual assault allegations by requiring universities to adjust their procedures to make it more likely that accused students would be found responsible, The Federalist Society has reported.

Higgins says this shows the sanctimonious and self-righteous attitude of Democrat leaders in Illinois.

If parents can get active, organized and courageous, then maybe they can affect change, she adds.

Illinois leaders say, “we’re going to do what we're going to do, regardless of what the will of the people and regardless of what the President of the United States wants. We're going to continue this,” Higgins said.
