No talks ongoing but Justice will serve if asked -- why not?

An advocate for parental rights says she is interested in serving as education secretary under former President Trump, should he win this coming November.

Tiffany Justice is co-founder of Moms for Liberty.

Education Week reports Justice said in an interview that she would be quote, "honored", to serve as education secretary or in another key position under Trump.

Trump, if elected, has shown an interest in tapping into successful individuals from the private sector for key roles in his administration.

Elon Musk, owner of X, formerly Twitter, and SpaceX, has been mentioned as a possibility for an advisor or Cabinet position. Most often he’s mentioned as part of a government efficiency commission that Trump has discussed.

Justice’s name has been popular in speculation in and around Washington, Education Week reported.

In an interview with AFN, Justice said the fight continues over a parents' rights to the values of family and being able to raise children the way they see fit.

"America is a beacon of light to the rest of the world, and we need to protect the things that make us such an amazing country so that we can help to lead the world forward."

Vetting continues for potential Trump administration

Trump’s transition team expects to complete vetting of possible Cabinet picks before the election, NBC News reported.

Most are not private citizens. Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida and Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, as well as former White House National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien, have been mentioned as secretary of state possibilities, NBC News reported.

Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and Texas Attorney Gen. Ken Paxton have been mentioned as possible candidates for U.S. Attorney General in a Trump administration.

Education Week reports that Justice demurred when asked if she'd conversed with the Trump team about the position.

"Moms for Liberty, we're asking moms and dads all over the country to step up and, and serve in office. I served on school board, and if you had asked me, you know, a few years before I ran for school board, if I thought I would have ever served in political office, I'd probably say no. It wasn't something that really I had on my radar, but I, I served and I loved serving my community."

Justice: ‘If not me, who?’

She said it was a hard job, but an important job.

"As I ask moms and dads to get involved and run for office all over the country, I think it's important that we work to get a seat at every table so that we are influencing policy, whether it's in government-run schools, whether it's at the school board level or whether it's in the White House. I love America. I believe in President Trump and his ability to lead this nation forward, and I think that if not me, who? So, I'm willing to serve, and I just felt like it was important to lead by example."

Justice concluded with reminding listeners that we need to "make sure that the federal government understands that we do not co-parent with the government.”

She said it is up to every mom and dad in every community across America to help to reclaim our parental rights.
