In Massachusetts, a Christian teacher has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the school district that fired her for being concerned about students.
Bonnie Manchester taught at Baird Middle School in Ludlow for 23 years before she was fired in 2021. For one thing, Brian Camenker of Mass Resistance says she did not like that the school was giving students access to what he calls "horrible pornography and more."
"She was just outraged at the pornography that was coming in and being basically given to all these middle school students," he reports. "Much of it was being given by this librarian, who was this female who dressed as a male and used a male name."
He says the librarian, "the superintendent, and the principal were complicit" in pushing LGBTQ+ propaganda on kids, and the school counselor was telling a troubled 11-year-old that she was transgender. "Many of the teachers didn't like it."
When Manchester informed the father and mother that school officials were referring to their daughter as a boy and keeping it secret from them, Camenker says, "They treated her just horribly."
Parents soon began contacting the school, and Manchester was ultimately let go for "conduct unbecoming a teacher."
"The larger issue is firing a teacher for telling the parents that the school was doing something that the parents asked them not to do," Camenker summarizes. "It's just so outrageous and egregious. These are just evil people."
Manchester's lawsuit follows another federal lawsuit the child's parents filed in April 2022 against the school, which is on appeal after it was dismissed.
In Wisconsin, the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Civil Rights is investigating the Sun Prairie Area School District for allowing a male to expose himself and shower with four high school freshmen girls at school.
"They had just finished up a swim unit in their gym class," details Cory Brewer of the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty (WILL). "They went to their athletic locker room to take a shower. When they walked in, they saw an 18-year-old adult male student kind of near the lockers and the benches."
The Christian Post reports he was a senior and not in their class.
"They were surprised, but they had a general idea that the student identifies as transgender," Brewer continues.
The girls went on to the showers to rinse off in their swimsuits.
"Right after they started showering, the student approached them … and said, 'I'm trans, by the way,' and fully undressed and showered right next to these freshman girls."
The attorney explains that the girls' parents were kept in the dark about the incident for weeks.
"We got involved because we don't think that their policy or the way they handled this complies with the federal law, Title IX," Brewer reports. "Right now, the policy in the district is if the girls are uncomfortable, they need to leave the locker room. We just think that's really backwards. We need to have this conversation, and we want to see changes."
Brewer credits the Biden administration for the increased reports about emboldened "transgendered" individuals.
