As American Family News has reported, antisemitism has been rearing its head over the past couple of weeks.
Many American colleges and universities have been the setting of pro-Hamas protests. At a pro-Palestinian rally on Sunday, Cornell University Professor Russell Rickford could hardly contain his glee about the torture and murder of Israeli women and children. "It was exhilarating" and "energizing," he exclaimed.
Dr. Alex McFarland of Truth for a New Generation notices three prominent themes at American universities: curriculum that focuses on actual subject matter like math or English, indoctrination in wokeness and social activism, or simple ignorance.
"American universities are silent on the subject of antisemitism," he observes. "So, for Jewish groups and Christian groups that support Israel, it's a tough time."
But in recent days, many of the schools that have been silent on the matter are now blatantly antisemitic.
"One of the many unfortunate casualties of being in the post-truth era is that like the terrorists themselves, American academics do not recognize Israel's right to exist," McFarland notes.
That, he says, has contributed to the current situation in which Jewish people around the world, especially Jewish college students at American universities, "are in danger."
