The group is celebrating its fifth anniversary with its Joyful Warriors National Summit in Dallas, Texas.
Co-founder Tina Descovich tells American Family News that thousands of parents, activists, and leaders are converging under this year's fitting theme: “Boots on the ground.
“We'll kick off on Thursday night with a pre-party here in Dallas, Texas. And then Friday morning, we'll have the governor of Texas, Gov. Greg Abbott, kick off the general sessions, the breakouts. We are excited to celebrate five years. Our theme is boots on the ground because Moms for Liberty is the grassroots organization across the country that's shaping the future of this country.”
The jam-packed three-day event features dozens of other high-profile speakers, including Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, Jennifer Sey, Dr. James Lindsay, and American Family Radio's own Rick Green.
While Abbott is well-known, and Paxton is fighting ultra-liberal James Talarico for a U.S. Senate seat, Sey has become one of the leading voices in the movement to keep biological males out of women’s sports.
She is a former member of the U.S. women’s national artistic gymnastics team, the national champion in the 1986 U.S. Women’s All-Around, and is now the founder and CEO of XX-XY Athletics, an apparel company devoted to protecting women’s sports and spaces.
“For women to be recognized as champions and to simply be afforded the chance to compete on an even playing field — and avail themselves of all the vast educational and developmental opportunities that competing in sports provides — girls' and women’s sports need to remain for girls and women only. We’ll be here defending them until that happens,” she writes for the company’s website.
Defense of Texas’ abortion restrictions and more than 100 lawsuits against the Biden administration challenging policies on culture, education, immigration, election integrity and more are among Paxton’s signature conservative achievements.
Moral failings in his personal life have weighed on his campaign, but several recent polls show a tighter race with Paxton within the margin for error.
