"Duck Dynasty" first aired in 2012 and ran for 11 seasons. It centered around the Robertson family. Based in northeast Louisiana, the show followed Phil and Kay Robertson and their four sons as they ran the family outdoor sporting goods company, Duck Commander. It also featured their Christian values.
In 2025, the show rebooted with “Duck Dynasty: The Revival,” but Jep, the youngest of the four brothers, and his wife Jessica only appeared in the second season, not that much involved with the reboot.
However, it appears they have a whole new spinoff ready instead.
Jep and Jessica Robertson spoke on the “Washington Watch” program about their new upcoming reality television show, “Jep & Jess: Beyond the Bayou.”
“It's a ranch we have that we're doing some really cool, unique stays there. I have a great business partner, friend of mine, that we're doing it with. His name's Lance. Yeah, we really enjoyed it,” Jep said.
According to Great American Family, the show will follow their family in Texas as they transform the Comanche Moon Ranch “into a thriving community rooted in craftsmanship, hospitality, and legacy.”
The show will stream on Great American Pure Flix on Thursdays, starting August 13.
As they explain, it’s a beautiful outdoor place where they have made some unique stays for people to visit and to use even for events.
“Our family just kind of thought, you know, what if we did something cool? My kids have always been great about wanting to try new things and see new things. So, it's been an adventure for sure,” Jep said.
“I think that once we got out there, it became something bigger and more about community and getting to know these other ranchers. And how do we make this 2,400-acre ranch broken up into small ranchettes? How do we make it feel more community-like?” Jessica asked. “The beauty is being able to build something of our own for our family to go and enjoy, but also other people to get out of the city and enjoy.”
In an age where foul language, sex and violence are prevalent on television, Jep explained how people are happy that he and his family provide clean entertainment.
“And also, for y'all praying and just talking about Jesus and what he's done for y'all. They're like ‘that's real to us.’ And I'm like, ‘Hey, it's real to us. That's why we're talking about it,’” Jep said.
Both Jep and Jessica hope that this will help people get outdoors, to witness the beauty of God’s creation, and to interact with each other in community.
