Conservative radio personality Jeff Hunt is "very excited" to be joining the kids at the Colorado School of Mines – what he calls "the MIT of Colorado."
"This is a great university," he says. "We're going to be focusing on the craziness that is Colorado."
His "Only in Colorado" speech will take a light-hearted but substantive look at 10 "baffling" public policy decisions made by state leaders over the past decade.
"It's not about personalities or parties," he recently posted on Facebook. "It's about the ideas and outcomes that have shaped life in our state."
Hunt has long expressed concerns about the direction Western states like his are going. During a 2023 interview on American Family Radio, he referred to it as "the woke West."
He says The Centennial State has not changed since then.
"We are completely surrounded by clowns and jokers in this state at this point," Hunt tells AFN. "They have come up with some wild policies that are bankrupting this state, that are driving more crime. We've got lots of problems. There's just a lot to talk about."
Hunt is happy to have a conservation with students who value freedom of speech and civil debate and believe that creating a human connection with people they disagree with is the best way to prevent violence. He says TPUSA provides "a great place" for conservative students to gather.
"We'll talk about socialism and how to combat the socialist doom loop that's taken over Colorado," he notes.
The Turning Point USA chapter at Colorado School of Mines recently announced its "reopening."
