Swatting is defined by Merriam-Webster as making a false report of an ongoing serious crime in order to elicit a response from law enforcement (such as the dispatch of a SWAT unit).
It happened recently to Larry Taunton. He shared the experience on American Family Radio (AFR) with the "Jenna Ellis in the Morning" program.
"It's 1 in the morning. My dog, Ranger, would not let me go to sleep. He was agitated and trying to let me know something was going on. I get up, and I draw my gun, and I look out the window, and I see three men. I can't tell that they're wearing police uniforms. I see three men with AR-15s tip-toeing around on the deck of my porch. They’ve come in silent, no sirens, this kind of thing,” Taunton said.
It turned out to be police responding to a 9-1-1 call about a reported shooting inside the home.

"It is attempted murder by proxy, and by that I don't mean the police officers themselves were out to murder me, rather the individuals who are doing this they seek at the minimum to terrorize conservatives, but the attempt was to kill me and if my wife got killed, or if I had children in the home or police officers got killed, so much the better. These people are terrorists, and they should be prosecuted as terrorists."
Other examples of swatting include the home of broadcaster Joe Pags as well as Infowars personality Chase Geiser.
Meanwhile, Taunton said he is not going anywhere.
“I am energized by this because the fact that you would swat my house, or someone else's house is because you've got nothing left. You have no argument left, and we intend to beat you. We intend to beat all of you. That's just the way I see it.”
