Iron Dome more accurate than usual in hands of a mighty God

An American-born Jew says God miraculously saved Israel once this year – and he expects God to do it again.

Israel is bracing for an attack from Iran after back-to-back assassinations of a Hezbollah military chief in Beirut and a Hamas terror group leader in Tehran. The Associated Press reports Hezbollah says it launched a drone attack early Monday on northern Israel that the Israeli military said wounded two Israeli troops. And the head of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard has threatened Israel over the assassination of the Hamas leader, warning that Israel was "digging its own grave" with its actions.

Kobi Ferguson is an American who God led to an Israeli wife and a ministry (Maoz Israel) bringing the gospel to the Jewish people. His daughter is serving in the Israeli Defense Forces and was among the first to learn earlier this year that hundreds of missiles and drones from Iran were heading their way. She only had a short time to reach out to her father.

"I did receive the most eerie text I've ever received in my life that morning," he shared Monday on American Family Radio. "It just simply said, 'Abba, Daddy, please pray. They're coming.'"

Ferguson says up to that point Iran had been using terror groups to harass the Jewish homeland. "[But] on April 13, just earlier this year … there was an unprecedented historical attack by Iran. We've never seen this before in history: Iran directly attacking Israel," he recalled.

But the ministry leader explained that God stepped in and protected His people: roughly 99% of the incoming missiles and drones were destroyed.

"It was miraculous, I'm telling you," Ferguson said. "We got word back from our friends and people we know who work in the Iron Dome mechanisms. They said, 'We were not supposed to be that accurate. It never is that accurate.' And we were able to share with them and say, 'Look, you know, millions of Christians were praying.'"

So now Israel is bracing for a second attack. President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have reportedly retreated to the Situation Room in Washington, DC, and in Israel it's being reported Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in a similar setting.

"So, to see those missiles shot down and not be effective, I think it's been a thumb in the eye to Iran," Ferguson observed. "And now, as we see another one of their leaders assassinated, I think they're wanting to kind of save face – and so I think the attack is very real."

Some observers say it's not a question of if Iran will attack, but when.
