Newest allegations from Daleiden get noticed by U.S. senator

U.S. Republican Sen. Marco Rubio is vowing to take a closer look at Planned Parenthood after learning a pro-life activist is again connecting the abortion giant to the sale of aborted fetuses.

David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress are known for their serious baby part-selling allegations that date back to 2015, which caused an uproar and led to congressional hearings. Now new information alleges the University of California at San Diego is getting fetal tissue from Planned Parenthood, with an agreement the abortion giant will benefit from the research findings.

Current federal law prohibits the transfer of abortion fetal tissue for compensation.

After learning about the evidence of lawbreaking, which includes email communications between the two groups, Sen. Rubio fired off a letter to the Department of Justice and the Department of Health and Human Services demanding they take action.

“Both of these organizations receive hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars every year, and the American people deserve answers,” Rubio wrote.

A DOJ investigation of Planned Parenthood is doubtful, if not laughable, since the abortion-defending Biden administration is seven months from Election Day and is busily prosecuting pro-life activists in federal court instead.

Ed Martin of STOPP International tells AFN pro-life activists are aware Planned Parenthood receives about a billion dollars annually from U.S. taxpayers.

“So we want more oversight,” he says. “We want more accountability.”

Sen. Rubio deserves credit for calling attention to the allegations, Martin says, but by now pro-life activists are “jaded” after watching pro-life Republicans vow to “go get ‘em” when that usually means a letter or one lone voice.
