Robert Jeffress, senior pastor of First Baptist Dallas, Jeffress took a stand against way of the Democrat Party and the twisted beliefs of Talarico, The Christian Post reported.
At the convention, he said it was unfair to call all Democrats sinners and all Republicans saints, but he notes a distinction.
“There's a difference between falling into sin and being an advocate for sin. And ladies and gentlemen, the Democrat Party are advocates for evil. They are advocates for sin,” Jeffress stated.
He said the face of that evil is U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico, then he took the convention on a tour of Talarico's turpitude.
“Let's compare James Tallarico to Jesus Christ. James Tallarico believes there is a spectrum of genders… that Jesus was little more than a wimpy, woke rabbi… that all religions are equally valid and are simply different truths or different paths up the same mountain of truth… describes himself as, quote, a Christian who hates Christianity, and perhaps he was telling the truth about that,” Jeffress said.
Jeffress said Jesus, by contrast, taught there are two genders and that he, himself, is the Way, the Truth and the Light, and cited scripture for every claim.
“The beliefs of James Tallarico are blasphemous. They are evil, and they are not beliefs that any true Christian could support, ever,” Jeffress stated.
AFN has reported multiple times on Talarico’s false interpretations of the Scriptures. First of all, he believes that God is non-binary, which he said is backed by the Apostle Paul, and that the Bible supports abortion, which he claimed comes from the story of Mary in Luke 1.
More recently, a clip of Talarico in 2024 went viral were he said Christians and Muslims worship the same God.
Jeffress closed by saying Texans have a binary choice in November.
“If we want God's continued blessings on our United States of America, it is imperative that on November the 3rd, we vote for God's side,” Jeffress said.
